Got my first self built guitar amp working again..

and it sounds pretty good too. There it was sitting in the garage covered with a large refuse bag. Still clean and rust free(ish), it did not work when plugged in. It has a 12" Eminence speaker which worked fine with my Orange Micro Terror. Better than fine if truth be known. A quick look and the problem became apparent - I had removed the pre-amp valve years ago. A spare ECC83 later and the amp is singing. It was a Champ style kit from Vyse around twenty years ago. I added a DC heater supply and was in the process of adding tone controls and another ECC83 when lack of space caused it to be relegated to the garage. It was going to the recycling depot except now it will be rehoused in my friends music room for our fortnightly music get togethers. A win all round....
