    Yup. Pretty damn cool!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

  • I've spent this evening playing Nirvana riffs and looking for Small Clones on ebay. Oh dear.

What strings do we reckon on a mustang then? The 9s are just too easy to pull sharp. 10s? 11s?

Sounds a bit heavy for what it is, but maybe a good sign, what is the body wood?

    Awesome.

I'm still trying to work out what strings to put on it. I like the feel of 9s on it but my heavy handedness is too much and I keep pulling notes sharp.

I might try 11s (I've got some lying around) and see what it's like with those instead.

  • I'd usually go with 11s on a Jag but with that bridge you m might be ok with 10s.

I gotta say I'm trying to work who's getting exploited with these - they're just ridiculously cheap. Hopefully not the factory guys making them, but that only leaves Fender's shareholders...

Is the scale length 24" or 24.75"?

I would say 11s. I run 11s on everything under Strat scale, including a couple of short scales. But I'm using Medium Top, Heavy Bottoms on a Squier Duo Sonic, and that thing slays!

  • Popped into GAK in Brighton to hopefully try one of these today but they didn't have one in the shop. The new Affinity JM looked cool though. :)

After playing mine for a couple of weeks it did seem to go out of tune just a bit on a couple of strings .I had opened the nut slots anyway as I noticed the nut was a bit tight but it still happened so I put in a set of Korean made cheapie tuners I had and that has solved the problem .A couple of the original tuners were sloppier than others hence going out of tune .very pleased with it .

  • Mines arrived today from guitarguitar.
Theres a few issues to sort - the scratchy frets although the fret ends are fine.
it also buzzes on the tenth fret of the low E string but looking closely it doesnt look like an uneven fret but rather a kink or bend on the actual string causing buzzing which goes when pressed fully down.
The action is great out of the box, and tbh for £115 its  well worth it.
Doesnt sound bad at all either.
