I think parchment or white looks best, aged always looks too aged/creamy to me. T'shell never looks right on a Strat to me, I think it only works on Sunburst Jazz bass/bass VI.

What classes as parchment? I have the stock mint green on mine and quite like the look of it, although wouldn't mind a change. Some mintys are horrendously green though. I've read that the standard Fender ones are the best shade.

There isn't a binary answer- I like tort on 'clownbursts' or 'targetbursts' from 62 on. If you've an earlier one, with the wood grain showing through, snot green.
