I'd bough the orange one (supposedly a BB preamp) for about £20 off ebay and was quite happy with it and how it sounds. So I thought I'd give them another go and bought the blue ocean which is supposed to be a blue sky delay (again from ebay) for £18. It arrived today.
Given the prices I dont expect much, they come in a 1590b type box and seem pretty solid.
now the problems, the delay has an annoyingly loud pop when pressing the footswitch, the little knowledge I have for effects suggests I might need a pull down resistor but I'd hoped I wouldnt have to meddle with something I'd bought rather than assembled myself.
I decided to open them up and am a bit dissapointed with the delay, have a look for yourself
the scorching of the pcb and the state of some of the soldering makes some of my home builds look like a work of art!
Its not the end of the world, when I get a chance I'll try and tidy the mess up and see if the pops dissappear.
just wanted to make you aware that you may get the odd lemon if you buy these.

Yeah the cheap stuff isn't always made that well.
