Having restrained myself *far* too much at the Guitar Show and not bought anything, I need to right this GAS wrong and I'm going to get a nice embroidered strap for my acoustic.

Yeah, it's really quite lovely but the current $/£ makes it particularly eye-watering. My salary is linked to USD and I paid before their prices went up so it wasn't quite so daft!

I have a souldier strap, but I don't like the big ends coz they look silly. I've got a couple of the reissue Ace straps coming from Thomann.

...but Andertons tend to rob-out the case candy so was lucky when the replaced Gibson that it should have come with came direct from the distributor and they weren't able to get their hands on it!

It's a woven strap bought on a stall outside some gringo's house in rural Mexico c.1967 (Dad stationed in Belize) laid on top of my old suede levy's strap that no one can remember how long i've had it, with a sew on 'Calavera' patch from etsy to hide the end of the woven fabric.

Lost my Dad 15 years ago so bringing together both straps and joining them with the Calavera right where they meet the body is a really great tribute and helps me remember why i play.

That's just mocked up, laid out to see how it looked. It;s being sewn at a seamstress next week, i'll post a pic here for you if you like?
