I'm curious about lot 221, the small acoustic by William Dinsdal. Not heard of him, but it looks a nice instrument.

... and if anyone is really going to pay £1500 for a Roland Juno 60, they need their head examining.

I had a Juno 60 that I sold years ago for peanuts. Who knew they'd become collectible? Never mind, I'm not a keyboard player anyway.

I saw Gardiner and Houlgate at the Guitar Show, and they are promoting heavily.  Which is good for them, but makes it more likely that more people are going to be competing in bidding, driving prices up.

BTW - is eBay really struggling at the moment?  They seem to be advertising to try to get people to sell their stuff with some very good offers.  If they were doing well, they really wouldn't have to do that would they?

I had a Roland Jupiter 8... sold it about seven or eight years ago, thinking the prices had got to a ridiculous level and had to crash soon.

It's probably worth at least twice as much now. Sigh.

GH told me the finish had been authenticated as original by Clive Brown! But it looks every inch the refinish to every other expert I know who has seen the pics. It was in the previous auction and didn't reach its reserve.

Interesting concept regarding any 'dubious' finish

what come back do you have against GH - on the sales particular it does not state anything about it been or indeed not been original - or indeed 'authenticated by Clive Brown' - In the condition of sales I dare say it covers them, on the basis that goods can be inspected for viewing, so buyer beware I suppose - as long as it is not a total 'fake' then it gets rid of any come back against GH - yet a dealer can't apply the same principal, as the buyer would want it in writing that it is an original finish - 10 penneth on your thoughts

I assumed that would be the case - a legit dealer would never get away with that - They don't confirm what it is, or what it isn't and no come back - excellent !!!!!
