The old fret scale is different, always has been up to 60 I think, it's supposed to be in the details that's a big detail to me, I hate modern gibson historics so much just for marketing shit alone

It wasn't that long ago that Gibson put out a spec sheet that mentioned it was constructed with 'classic' Titebond 50 wood glue.

In fact, just googled it, it's in the current spec!

And yes, @customkits, the current fret scales are all over the place compared to vintage.

It's pretty Cork Sniffy to be honest but Gibson's scales have always been a bit 'fluid'. Nothing major but there are some changes.

Why they just don't make a really good les paul is beyond me, if I can make one in my shed that's better something is seriously wrong imo

Every clip I've heard of these modern les Paul's sound crap to me, that's just my point of view so don't get arsey
