And I was struck with a bit of inspiration. Instead of getting some brass knobs (very pricey) I thought I'd see what some skirted knobs looked like. I'd got some gold and black ones in my parts box, and gave it a go. It's a bit different...

I quite like that.
So, I just need the black pickup covers and scratchplate screws and some strings...
Exciting!

With the legendary (to me, anyhow) Custardcaster - my first Partscaster.
Good work.
ps. Your Custardcaster is legendary to me as well.
I had to raise the saddles quite a bit, still a couple of flat bits on the fretboard so probably needs a truss rod tweak. Action very low at the moment.
The pickups are Iron Gear Pig Irons - not sure how they usually sound... but as the bridge is all brass; block, saddles and plate, the resulting tone is a bit fizzy and tingy... very bright. Quite twangy.
I've found that none of the strat tremolo arms I have fit the block, the hole is smaller... so that's the last piece I'll be needing.

And to tag in @Darren who kindly provided the pickups.
Very nice job sir... Id say you have the eye for finishing...
