More importantly:
Dressed the frets on both new guitars and one acoustic
Kinman treble bleed mod on two guitars
Refinished the bass neck
Rewired my pedalboard with new cables and a 2 way bypass looper
Replaced two dpdt3s & fixed a 3rd pedal with bad joints
New compensated bone saddles for my two acoustics & one pickguard.
(Not much point having stuff unless it works perfectly)
Recording gear:
Racked my recording gear in two cases, got a laptop & ID22 for portability, bought a great river pre, LA3A clone, violet grand pearl and built some mix reference speakers which look like this

It seems like for many years, I plan the next will be the next I will shift a lot of unused gear but it never seems to happen....
The fact the original footswitch is with it is the cherry on the cake.
Unbelievable amp. So lucky to have found her.
Not even considered flipping it in all of a month.

Very happy with my purchases. Have wanted a 335/345 type guitar for years, mainly because Bill Nelson is my favourtie guitarist and never bonded with any Gibson of that style I tried. The Yammy is grreat, but it is heavier than I anticipated. As for the Blade, it was an absolute bargain and the best S/S/S strat I have ever played, and a great match to my RH4.
I was sorry to let the Larrys go as they are vg guitars, but at the end of 2016, I'd bought a NK Forster acoustic and a Santa Cruz Tony Rice, meaning that the Larrys were not going to get played very much.
Aftet going into London in January for a work meeting, I ended up in Guitar Guitar. I was interested in a small bodied semi like a ES339, but instead the 2017 Les Pauls took my eye and I walked out with a 2017 Classic. I then modded this with a poker chip and a set of Lollar Imperials.
I then sold my CE24 because I had a wedding to pay for and it had spent the previous 12 months sitting in its case. Likewise my Takamine parlour, which I barely played.
Then I sold my Ibanez RG760 for what I thought was an OK price. Only for the guy to try and flip it on EBay.
i bought a J Rockett Archer Ikon, realised I preferred my cheaply TC MojoMojo and swapped them back on the board.
Then in the summer I was browsing Ishibashi and saw a Yamaha SG1000 for absolute peanuts. So I bought that.
my big gear questions for 2018 are...
My main amp is massive, should get something smaller?
Should I buy a Fractal instead of upgrading my pedalboard?
i probably will buy a Feline before my 50th birthday.
