Hey folks
Any suggestions for songs that work well with a looper? Nothing too complex, but ideally something that has a bit of wow-factor in it that would get people's attention at an open mic?
Not Sheeran or Tunstall , nor anything too flash. Something that just employs a few layers rather than anything that's dependent on precision pedal tap-dancing. I play indie stuff mainly, but I guess it doesn't matter too much about genre.
Also, is this the right section for this? Let me know if it's better somewhere else.
Cheers,
Jon

It's also worth checking out David Ford. Go To Hell is one my favourites, but he's using a lot more than just guitar.
I've got a mate who gigs every week, solo set with a looper, and he plays pretty much anything. I like his Biffy and Foos covers.
I used to play it in a duo (vocals and guitar). Great for adding in all those layers as it builds.

Any 12 or 8 bar blues
Seriously: If you value it, take/fetch it yourself
NYLSB (second loop for the bridge section maybe)
Wicked Game
Fast car
Anything by oasis
Sweet home Alabama
Adding in a Looper with a second loop opens up so many possibilities.
I use a trio+ so I can have 5 parts per song
