Formula 1 b3 b5 bb7 (same note as 6), so in C you have a C, Eb, Gb and A(= Bbb), which is 8642xx. As you can see, closed voicings are pretty impractical, so the one that every plays is this drop3 voicing of Adim7 - xx1212.
Dim7 chords are completely symmetrical - each note in the chord can be made the root note of its own diminished 7th chord without changing any of the notes in the chord. Here are the 3 moveable voicings of a diminished chord which I use all the time, with the root note on strings 4, 5 and 6 respectively.
Root on 4th string: Ebdim7: xx1212 (also = Gbdim7/F#dim7, Adim7, Cdim7)
Root on 5th string: Bdim7: x23131 (also = Ddim7, Fdim7, Abdim7/G#dim7)
Root on 6th string: Gdim7: 3x232x (also = Bbdim7/A#dim7, Dbdim7/C#dim7, Edim7)
Any other useable moveable dim7 shapes out there?
