It is needlessly cruel and inhumane leading to the death and destruction of numerous beautiful creatures for the amusement of half-drunk half-wits that follow the National Hunt series
The whole ethos of Steeple-chasing is out-dated.
I agree with this 100%
I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd
This pretty much sums up my feelings on it...

The crops they use, don't actually hurt the horse. Ive been smacked around the back of the legs with one. No pain whatsoever, and horses are a lot thicker skinned than I am.
Did the horse?

Yes I did. A friend wanted to prove a point.
The horse cant speak, so no they probably don't consent. The crops they use aren't actually for punishment. They don't make a horse run 'faster' per se, but if used correctly, they do help to make fine adjustments with regards to steering the horse, and help to balance its stride. A horse running perfectly straight with a balanced stride will go faster. Nothing to do with pain and punishment. They LOVE to run. They especially love to run FAST!

No, but I refer you to my 2nd and 3rd sentences in that post that you conveniently ignored.
Sorry, Mr Ed is already relaxing in a nice Findus Lasagne, so wont be taking part this year.
I think they should do cow racing instead. Nobody gives a fuck about cows.
The racing would probably go on a bit long and the jumps would be shit.
Plus cows would probably stop to lick stuff on their way.
But could be good.
Sorry DesVegas
Ill be having a bit of a flutter on Blacklion and possibly Pleasant Company.
