Definitely an item of Gear Lust , but well out of my price range for a bit of gear that will probably have a 5-10 yr life, whereas a trusty valve amp will keep going. This doesn't mean I wouldn't want one yes please !

The thing is, they hold their value very well so you'd flip it for an Axe 3, KPA II or whatever before it got to the end of its life.
Nothing wrong with a trusty valve amp but I find my Ultra/Mesa combo sounds as good or better than any amp I've ever owned and has all the FX and flexibility I'll ever need (doesn't stop me wanting an Axe II though! ;-) )

The only thing is, they're so bloody hard to get hold of at a half-reasonable price haha

True! I got my Ultra a couple of years ago for £850 which is about the cheapest I've seen one.
