Oh my! Lowden fan fret

went to Guitar Guitar in Camden - tried a Cedar Lowden F size fan fret.

Bloody hell - what a sound and feel.

Looks like it's been hit with the ugly stick but gibsmackingly good.

Luckily the finance options needed more ID than I had on me!

I have a Lowden 010 which I bought used from an Irish guy on the Isle of Sheppey for a paltry 399 quid! 
This was back in 1996 mind. Great sounding guitars like you say and they really benefit from some medium or heavy gauge strings.

I didn't feel awkward at all - it's only disconcerting if you look at it as you play lol

if so it's mostly ust y'r hearing + a bad mic / placement
go play 'em.
they do send 'em out with coated Elixirs which gives them a noticeable nasal tone to my ears, so beware - easily fixed with Newtons MC's or DR Rares.

ah, Timmy - still gassin' ?, I'll stick with straight on hurdles - I'm easily confused.
