Now NGD... Suhr offsets ( or Classic JM Pro's as they call them)

Apart from the EBMM Albert Lee's, I've never owned an offset style before. That might be about to change as I'm seriously tempted by the newish Suhrs. Any users, owners or opinions?

Can you customise? I'd want a gold one, but with a trem and P90s.

I think they should've stuck with the standard headstock shape too.

Agreed, that headstock looks dog shit compared to the one that they have on their strats/tele's.  I really like the look of the sunburst with P90's and a trem though.

@Jack_  yep, you can have either pickup config with either bridge and then choice of finish.

I like the hybrid headstock. Sonic blue, hardtail and P90's for me I think. Although a bucker in the bridge, P90 in the neck would be cool.

Dunno, it's an offset in shape only, otherwise it's been blanded out.

Love the look of them. I can't help thinking 'Fano' - headstock too. For this sort of thing, it's so easy to knock together a partscaster though...

I have one and love it. I snagged the NAMM model with one humbucker and the single at the neck. Plays great, looks great and  I'm very happy with it.

    @Dindude just can't help himself ;-)

Think I'd rather have a Fano.

I agree with @dindude that they've been a bit blanded out, I'm sure they're superbly built and play great, but not as interesting or cool as an offering from Fano or other boutique builders.

There was an absolutely stunning Fano offset in the classifieds a few days ago, which is one of the nicest guitars I've ever seen.

  • I really like them, I think I'd like the black, p90s with tort guard!

I don't normally like offsets so the blanded out of these guitars is probably what appeals to me!

  • They look quite nice and are undoubtedly well made and finished but for that money you could get a very good real offset.

Nice enough but I much prefer a JM-style tremolo given the option (with Mastery being the finest of the lot). A Gotoh 510 is super in a Stratalike but less fun on an offset, IMO.

They're probably very good, but they all look a bit boring.

You guys are hard to please - I think that's one of the best looking electric guitars I've ever seen!

Well here it is. It’s taken bloody ages to get here what with all the CITES shemozzle, but the wait has been worth it. It plays, sounds and feels superb. Big thanks to my bud Phill @ Project Music for making me buy another guitar I don’t really need... erm, I mean, sorting it all out for me.

  • Love that. Seems like a nice unique alternitive to all the other dual 'bucker guitars out there.

  • I tried one recently and really liked it - they look better in real life I think.
