I'm glad im not the only one whose not found of the slappy tappy thing. I don't loathe it,I think "just get a bongo". I love people like Tommy Emmanuel, Pierre Bensusan etc.And particularly Tommy uses every inch of his guitars.

 But each to his own, if it was something I wanted to do even on a beater guitar I would use some sticky clear plastic sheets. I bought some for protecting the signatures on my SG's scratchplate. Fair play to Willie Nelson though, i mean i imagine he's had a few people offer him endorsement deals for shiney new guitars.
