Acoustic Duets

What's Hot
Planning to get together with a freind to do some acoustic duets.  We're having a go at Goodtime Charlie's got the blues by Kings of Strings.  Video below.  If you like this there are a couple of nice Chet Atkins and Earl Klugh versions to check out.

Looking for ideas for other good ones.  Any suggestions welcome  This ones nice as you can more or less jam to it after the first solo.

are you looking for instrumentals specifically ?  and the aim to eventually gig ?
just because you don't, doesn't mean you can't
just because you do, doesn't mean you should.

You can just arrange well know pop songs .. people will recognise them. This sort of thing:

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!

Thanks for the comments. We're probably just looking to do open mic's and yes instrumentals only. I'll have a look at the video later.

I've always loved this video. I think you'd call it challenging to play mind you!

@axisus the 4 hands thing is a hoot.  Think I might just be able to manage the bass line!  Reminds me of some Tommy and Phil Emmanuel

@Fretwired those acoustic blues duo arrangements might work

@Gassage Mediterranean Sundance is brilliant but I don't think we could stretch to Paco de Lucía & Al Di Meola version....

Maybe an arrangement of Rodriguez guitar concerto aranjuez could work.  We're really looking for steel strings acoustic arrangements though.  My mate plays Mandolin so if you know any nice guitar / mandolin duets let me know.

Now that would be good if we could do it.  Saw them live in Newcastle.  It's Gabrielas Rascuedo rhythm techniques that would be hardest to pull off.

Ironic I should mention it and he dies the next day. What a player.

    Ah! Soz.

I've heard them do it as an instrumental and it sounds great too. I'll see if I can locate a video.

Their channel has a number of well played duets and some of them are great but this one is probably my favourite:
