I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you, I might not give the answer that you want me to
I don't have a no-no colour at all.
Hollowbodies/chambering are the irrational phobias I can't fight.
I think I need some sort of realignment therapy.
But pink, skin colour, cerise, mint green, mauve/lilac, bright yellow, orange, biege - all ghastly colours for guitars.
I don't like Robert Cray's boring grey strat. Dull as ditchwater colour.
That, and coloured acoustics. Acoustics should be natural.
As has been mentioned by various people, certain combinations just work, whereas others just look wrong.
The same applies to figured woods. I generally love maple quilted tops (I've got a lovely PRS SE in blue), but some just look wrong. And I quite like bursts on figured tops, but things like the PRS SE Chris Robertson blueburst looks rubbish, as there's too much black.

It was maple board and yellowed vintage white poly. My instant reaction was 'yuck!' That only looks right on a tele (or yngwie), but as soon as i tried it out i was blown away by the neck and playability.
It's the guitar ibe owned for the longest now and grown to love it.
I said maybe.....
I should maybe add, my dislike of gold fittings, doesn't only apply to guitars. I can't stand it used for any kind of fitting. Gold to me never seems to compliment what it's fitted to, I find it more a 'look at me, I've got gold bits' and detract from the main item, whereas silver/black tends to compliment what they're fitted to, and not distract from the main item.
