    I've looked around and just can't find anything for that kind of money that suits. Something with killer cleans, good headroom , well made and takes pedals well is just what I'm looking.

    I've never played one, but maybe take a look at something from http://www.tube-tone-engineering.co.uk/index.html ... JTM45's and Trainwreck builds around the £700 mark.

    If it were me, mind, I'd try to pick up a really lovely used Bassman head, or a Bandmaster Reverb, or a Tremolux (one of my favourites).
