WTB Gigrig quartermaster qmx4

Having travelled the GAS fx accumulation, G2 command centre and the need for a simpler life, I would like to test a simpler pedalboard. A qmx4 would be ideal. Does anyone have one to sell?

There’s one on Gumtree, although not the flip flop version.

I'm giving a smaller pedalboard a go minus the g2. I've contacted the gumtree seller. Thanks.

Paid for one on gumtree but the seller also sold it on eBay. That'll teach me for hesitating.
Still looking for a qmx4. Anyone?

So far the Gigrig gear has fixed more problems than created so I feel more confident with their gear. Not having tried other brands I had considered a simpler 3dpt true bypass looper such as bright onion. However, reading threads criticising this outdated solution, I find myself considering a relay setup instead.

    Here's my pedalboard solution:

    true bypass wah
loop 1: bypass entire loop unit (not sure if this is necessary)
    loop 2: fuzzes
    loop 3: univibe (not truebypass)
    loop 4: tuner
loop 5:drive, compression, tremolo/boost, reverb, leslie
    Always on pre amp
    amp

I'm convinced that high quality cable such as reference cable from Italy and top plugs have fixed associated tone loss problems as with guitar to pedal and pedal to amp cables; I.e. no need for a buffer.
Therefore loop 1 could be excluded.
I could easily go with the old version of the qmx4; the flip flop would help with the tuner.

    Any suggestions for other units?

  • Have you looked at the mooer system?
6 loops, dedicated tuner out, optional buffers front and back, I think the switches are relay too
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    That could be an option.
