Opted for a Peak FCB8N

seems to do the same as the Ground Control Pro, but has a smaller footprint. it's slightly larger than I wanted, but should be OK.

Cool. Probably a bit large for my needs. I'm looking for a Tech21 MIDI Mouse.

I was looking at those too, but the more I thought about my setup, the more I needed

I've had the peak stuff before, used to have their smaller FCB4N which was excellent.. that might suit your needs.
