Remarkable stuff.
Fresh finger marks on a brand new guitar.
I also want to to clean the fretboard- what do you think about those gorgomyte cloths?
Lemon oil on a rosewood fingerboard depends how much you play and sweat it acquires, but every 3/4 months should be enough - Wipe on, then rub/clean then wipe off, then leave a fresh 2nd coat to 'soak in' - after 2/3 mins wipe off any excess oil as probably not required - Don't flood it as it only nears a skim covering
For fresh fingermarks, use a clean micro fibre cloth - touch of spray, little is better as you can re-apply - to much and you'll be cleaning off smear marks for ages - I use Planet Wave Shine for finger marks, but any Martin, Gibson, Fender polish should be fine for such fresh marks - Stubborn marks, then use Plane Wave restore or even Maguires car polish
Thanks, guys.
I'm still interested to see if anyone has any experience with gorgomyte.
Polish is for the weak.

Any guitars I sell are spotless, I always give my guitars a good cleaning before selling.
When you use it, it's like being transported back to the fifties.
It really IS good, though... and you actually only need the cleaner. But I'd look at it more as a restorative product for older guitars than a fingerprint remover for a new guitar.
