NGD:

What's Hot

I’ve had a few too many NGD’s recently but it was all by design to test what really ticked my boxes and in an effort to finally reduce the heard to 3 electrics, 1 acoustic at the most.

So I took advatage of a Black Friday deal at Peach and this arrived a few days ago. First shot is just an iPhone pic, the second is a pro shot I nicked.

So this has to replace my Schecter PT, my Gibson LP Special and my Squier 72 Thinline, and early impressions are that it sits nicely in the tonal range between these. It sounds stunning. This and my Strat could be all I need (yeah right).

Nice. Love the colour with the rosewood board. Good choice.

I've got a Burns Semi Tele with adjustable HB & single, fantastic guitar. You'll have fun!

    That looks great!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

How many unheard guitars will you have?

If a tree falls in a forest where no one can hear it, does it make a sound?
If no note is ever played on a guitar, does it even exist?

Oh yes. The Special is a great guitar, and a steal at the price, I just need to stop buying Gibson’s, it’s a personal thing!

I don't normally pay much attention to Suhr guitars but I saw these on the Peach website the other day.  I really like the look of this particular combination of scratchplate and hardware, it's very elegant.

Is it a 5-way switch, or just a straightforward 3-way?

Yeah I’m not a Suhr fanboy by any stretch, I’ve been quite critical of them in the past, but this really works for me.
And yes a 5 way with usual combinations plus neck HB tapped and both pickups tapped together.

You caught the Thinline bug! Looks very nice, love the rosewood neck. How do the pickups compare to the Squier?

Sounds quite different, les scooped than the ‘72, the pickups in the Suhr are very much low output PAF’s a like, and the body is alder rather than ash which will also contribute. Has that thinline thing of being being airy and dynamic in spades though.

  • Never played a Suhr one of those things I need to explore. Not sure what you get over a similar priced Fender but have to try one and see.

Get wisdom for posting the Daryl Cee lo  thats one house band I can always listen too
