They’ve nearly done it. Luckily it looks like the wall it fell on isn’t going to collapse, but it’s made a right bloody mess of the river bank. I have some serious digging to do this afternoon now tho to stop a whole bunch of the bank disappearing into the river

I’ll take a photo in a bit - the issue is there’s a lot of loose topsoil at the top of the bank where the old tree dislodged (and where they have ground out the stump) and cos it’s a steep bank there’s a chance it might slip in. The river is quite big, I just don’t want to lose my topsoil cos I want to replant something there!

No, it was an old Yew, but it was completely rotten - sad really as it would have been a nice chunk
