Strange interpretation of the word 'refurbished'. Ruined would be more accurate.

this gives me some ideas. I might sell my old junk guitars that I have put in my parents loft.

Loft finds etc. vintage for sure but don't know anything so there you go.

Strange interpretation of the word 'Fender' too.

Perhaps 'Vintage' in this instance refers to the brand Vintage.

Apart from almost nothing being the right shape on that guitar, the logo is so obviously computer printed and at pretty low resolution too.

That is absolutely hilarious mate! It’s obvious when you zoom in!

Possibly a Duncan Pearly Gates, I think they used those in the 90s Big Apple Strat. It probably is a genuine ‘Fender’ pickup because it’s white (not cream) which is fairly rare.

It's nowhere near good enough for any Tokai. It seems to have originally had two-pin machineheads, if that offers any clue - but it's not good enough even for a modern Indonesian Squier neck. Look how misaligned the fingerboard dots are...

I'm guessing DIY special or something really cheap and horrible.

I’m just dying to know the details of his secret next project, he’s got lined up!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

Just seen the pic of the end of the neck/truss rod. Looks like it's been leveraged out of the pocket with a screwdriver. Meanwhile at the other end, the tip is making a break for freedom.

    Just sent him this message:

    ”Hi,

Can you provide any provenience for this guitar?
As it stands, that truss rod is not a type ever to be fitted to a genuine fender neck. Also, the serial number is incorrect for any fender.

Genuinely interested in this but it is screaming “fake” to me at the moment.”

    his response:

“No mate as I said the guy died... so I dont know what year it is.”
