It’s really important to play some totally inappropriate, non-“Rickenbacker” music on it too . Contrary to popular belief they’re very versatile and you may be surprised what sounds you can use it for if you go beyond compressed cleans and jangly light overdrive.

Also, try DI’ing it - really . You can get an almost electro-acoustic sound out of them if you EQ it right.
