So, looks like matrix are getting into the hybrid amp business now as well as power amps.

Not the best demo in the world, it's a shame they didn't do one with proper sound recording as you can't really tell what it sounds like from the clip.

No, that's true, but a standard camera recording is probably the worst sound you can get.

You comment "Can you ever????" struck me as both funny and wise.  

It may be my imagination, but I feel a common problem with audio on the internet is that too much happens to it between the microphone and the computer's speaker.

had a look at that on my phone. Little black box up a corner and a generic modern ROCK sound via a camera phone so not a great deal the wiser.Although IIRC from the picture @Handsome_Chris posted of it the other week it had a valve pre amp?

Be interesting to know if they are going to do another flavour at some point, not just the Marshally one. Having discovered that Matrix do incredibly loud but controlable in quite small boxes these are of interest.

I saw the demo of the prototype of this amp at last year's Great British Guitar Show - I can confirm that it sounds astonishing. The preamp is from the JCM800...

And yes - they're going to be making other flavours with more channels (confirmed by one of the Matrix guys at this year's show - he stopped by our stand, even though they weren't officially there).

It's gonna be very hard for me not to buy one of these. A 4lb 2203 model with on board power amp is such a great concept for any gigging musician.

Sounds very good in this demo.

It sounds like shit in the Andertons video. But personally I think they make all the amps they demo sound terrible.

Yea, sounds much better in that demo. 

Does anyone know how the power section is setup? just wondering how it would sound if I put my axeFX through the FX Return.. It's cheaper than buying a matrix Gt1000FX.
