Like quite a few other people, I spun the chassis around in my Jet City 20H headshell because I'm not keen on the look of the original blue amps and their logo, and it's nice to be able to see your valves through the grill when you're playing.
I was idly wondering recently whether I could put that grill to another use and bung a small speaker in there, rather like the Katana 100 head.
Well the box isn't deep enough to have a speaker facing forward, but there's plenty of room to bung a 100w 8ohm 5.25" woofer in the top, and the sound coming out of the front grill is fantastic!
So here's my grab 'n' go, totally self-contained spare head, which I can rehearse with easily as it is, or gig it with whatever cab is around. If there's no cab available the internal speaker mics up really well. It does sound better than it has any right to, especially for an 18 quid speaker!

i much prefer the old logo compared with the new....

i did similar with one of my bandmaster heads. Room for a pair of 8's in there.
just right for a rehearsal or small gig.
