Can a thread disappear?

I am referring to a guitar that was for sale on here last year. Newbie - i recommeded he list on here after comms on gumtree - listed his hardtail strat and i even made a comment on it but i cannot find the thread or even my comment in my profile. How can this happen?

No unfortunately not. I guess he could have had fender decal on headstock of his partscaster..
