Everywhere is full of horrible ignorant people. I don't think Brits have a monopoly on stupidity.

A work colleague grew up I  rural Italy... She has a view of rural Italians being very very racist

I travelled a fair bit in my younger days and concluded that racism is rife all over the World.
Cities, towns, villages, the middle of nowhere, racism doesn't discriminate.
