Would love try one of those JMcL PRS's too. Always found John McLaughlin to be like the staccato to Allan Holdsworth's legato. Never heard them together, that would be something!

@boogieman - since 2012. He uses a Godin for midi and the PRS for electric sounds. There's a rumour that PRS are making a signature guitar which I guess will be a traditional PRS guitar with on-board midi.

Ah cool, thanks for the info. I've seen him use the Godin before and various guitar synths over the years. Makes sense to have the modified PRS.

Just got the John McLaughlin and The 4th Dimension live in Boston CD. One word - amazing. If you like John and jazz fusion this is a great record ... packed with great riffs and blistering lead guitar.
