Camera peeps / engineers, your help please

Yeah he's got all the kit, he's a filmmaker. Just never needed this particular gizmo until now and his funds are low at the moment. 
He's going to look at hiring the Genie Mini, although from the blurb it isn't clear if the unit only makes a single rotation then stops. If it does then it's no use either, he needs something that will rotate repeatedly until he decides to switch it off.

So I asked a friend about this and he suggested something interesting - a mirror ball motor!

No idea what speed they are, but if you could somehow fit it to a plate of some kind, it might work.
