Powering pedals

Hello

I have a Cioks DC10 which is fantastic bit of kit.

Looking at powering all my pedals. Most or centre negative 9v/12v 

But my Barber Tone Press Compressor states in the manual in big bold writing Negative 9v only.

Whats does this mean? All the extra leads are from Positive and centre negative. Is centre negative the same as negative? Probably a dumb question but thought id ask before doing any damage to the pedal

Says negative tip (Centre) in manual so make sure you use the right adapter and you are good.
