I've got a GTD on order and, yes, the waiting list is very annoying, I won't see mine until November likely.

If we were at home the GTD is definitely the pick of the range, but they don't even sell diesel fuel here, never mind cars! Ours has sports seats and the panoramic sunroof, and the upgraded stereo which is awesome

Tungsten Silver, iirc. It's a slighty deeper silver than normal, apparently. I'd have gone for red in the UK but cars get mega dusty over here so red ones spend most of their time looking shit!

Red fades really badly in bright sun too. My old Toyota would turn virtually pink if I didn't cut the paintwork back every once in a while.

One day in and loving it. Not as go-karty as a GTI but plenty of poke in a straight line and the DSG is mega-smooth to the point you can barely feel it changing gear at all unless you're flooring it in sport mode.

Sports seats are lovely, the panoramic roof is awesome (though a bit hot to use it atm- winter will be good!), but I wouldn't spec it in the UK- I don't think its £1k of awesome. iPhone connection is neato too. I can't imagine using the in-car calling often but having a fully charged phone every time I finish a journey is handy.

And petrol is so cheap it's ridiculous. About £17 to fill the tank
