Is there a used market for these once they've been used/stuck into a guitar ?

I've had more pairs of the rings than I've currently got.

    1.  They're ugly.
To my eyes, the beauty of that Feline is not enhanced by two pieces of chunky cream plastic right in the centre of the guitar.

    2.  They're a bugger to actually use.
OK for bedroom playing, but if you have any thoughts about using them in a live environment and switching quickly between settings mid-song, that's not going to happen.  Switching between songs OK as long as sweaty fingers don't slip ...

    But
They're a neat solution that avoids the need to drill/fit additional switches on the guitar.
Having trouble posting images here?  This might help.

I can't see it being too much of a problem live as I won't be switching that often. Just like a strat like sound on occasions. Probably switch em two or three times I reckon :)

Do you know what.? I'm totally going to retract my posting and just say that so think l I'll go for a push pull scenario etc. I think there can be too many options to be actually worth while. Keep it simple etc

Most of the reply comments in this thread have had to stay fairly generalised.

Humbuckers have been mentioned but not the make/model of the host guitar. That information would have provided some clue to the selector switch type and the distance between the humbuckers. It would also have made it possible to offer alternative practical suggestions for arriving at a set of pickup coil permutations to suit your needs.

I would not wish to see Triple Shot surrounds installed on an expensive guitar that left the factory with direct-mounted pickups. e.g. Ernie Ball Musicman Axis
