Looks like a low cost spin on the Mesa Thiele 1x12 cab concept complete with Electrovoice EV12 driver. On the basis of what I've heard about the V30 loaded cabs they do I'm kind of tempted!

That's quite dear for a Thomann product - but I have to say their 2x12 cab is very well built.

Is the EV12 an expensive item?

Yep, it's not a cheap driver at all. That seems like a pretty fair price, although I'm not convinced that I wouldn't hold out for a used Mesa Thiele cabinet if I were in the market for something like this.

This has me very interested.

EDIT: Then again, it's not going to save much weight over a 2x12", given that the EV speaker weighs over 7kg.
