Well it's been a busy couple of weeks with folks deciding to get in and secure a Feline whilst they could .Thank you so much for your custom.

We have sold 3 out of the 5 Lion Supreme '59s this last couple of weeks with the Amber one, the Stripe model and the PG Blues Lemon-drop all going to new homes, the second to last 30th Anniversary Lion selling and today one of the newer droptop Lion models  sold too.

So a recently completed project that had been on the way for some time is this Floyd Rose equipped Gothic Model.

  The customer wanted an Ash body and maple neck , albeit with a rosewood board to sort of take it in an EVH inspired way.

Finish wise he wanted a natural oil finished neck  and a metallic blue finish, so created a nice boundary between the two this time round.

The floyd is set for down only so an EVH D-Tuna can be used  too. Pickups are a pairing of @OilCityPickups Djenerator humbcker and a stonetone single coil neck pickup. 

Controls are a simple volume and tone and a 3 way switch- the volume being in the rear position to make it easier to lay your hand on whilst also singing.

We did like the concept enough to make a slimmer all mahogany version for stock too which ended up being completed sooner than the other  and some of you may have seen it before.

We had fun doing the carbon fibre backplates on this one to go with the Ferrari red colour scheme

Seems a bit early to talk about Xmas , but I guess you have to plan ahead sometimes , so here are our Xmas thru New Year closing dates

A busy week getting stuff back from the paintshop - expect to see some build updates coming through 

Amongst them was my own V that i had played in the bare wood for so long it was getting silly - eventually got it off to be painted.

I had to avoid the temptation to have it half black and half white in some sort of Schenker fanboy moment, so I went with my 1970s F1 fanboy instincts and had it painted in colours reminiscent of the 1974/75 Hesketh 308 that James Hunt raced before joining McLaren.

You will note my continued use of a flush mount Dunlop Straplock fittings on the back to keep the strap close to the body, which prevents the guitar tipping forward


You can see the bevel I chose to put down the edge to make it more comfy for my forearm in the pic below



The jack socket is hidden in the upper fin once again, along with another flush mount button

One will be for a customer but it will leave one up for grabs
Loaded with Bare Knuckle Holy Diver and Mothers Milk pickups 

Hardware is Hipshot Contour trem and locking ratio tuners and an Earvana nut

They are looking quite pretty I must confess - need to get some backplates made for them
