WITHDRAWN - Warmoth Ebony/Walnut Strat Neck

This was a custom order from Warmoth costing well north of £500 + Shipping and eye-watering import taxes

There is a small flake (no penetration through into the wood) of the substantial Poly coat covering of the Walnut on the back of the neck present near the body end of the neck that Warmoth applied a discount for. It is purely cosmetic and I will load photos on Sunday to illustrate the full neck. 

Neck has been pre-loaded with Gotohs and mounted once briefly to a body but then removed as the Warmoth Standard thin contour is just too slim for me. In terms of the profile, it is probably the typical 'Modern C type' that most players prefer and accounts for 90+% of all necks Warmoth builds. Warmoth describe it as "Similar to Modern Fender American Standard Strat or Tele" with thickness at 1st Fret - .800", 12th Fret - .850" . 

This is a stunning and beautiful neck that needs to go to the right home!

Right, while going over this neck for images I've noticed another couple of small flakes in the poly finish in the same area around the heel of the neck so I'm in two minds as to whether to withdraw it and have it professionally touched up. I'll post the pics in case someone is particularly interested - the previous comments still apply, the flaws are purely cosmetic, however I am open to offers with these in mind :-

That looks a fine neck, from what I can see I would agree with you about the thin contour I feel it would be a bit just too slim for me as well. But that fingerboard looks gorgeous. Look forward to seeing your other necks

Yes, I always find it annoying that Warmoth automatically uses their 'Standard Thin' profile for over 90% of everything they do, but I suppose from their POV it's simple economics - that's what 90% or more of their market wants/likes so that's that! I always found the Fender American Standard a bit on the slim side for me - it's all such a personal thing as any player knows, but when I saw the fretboard on this in combination with the walnut which is such a classy combination for looks as well as tone, I thought I might be able to live with it but alas no!

More in the week, although I will say this is the classiest one by far imo
