Peach are knocking these out at £1499. 

I absolutely love mine, the best clean sounding amp I’ve ever heard and makes your pedals sound amazing.
 
Lifetime warranty as well. 

They’re loud but the massive headroom means you can get a huge volume boost putting a clean boost after your drive pedals.

I agree.

 I don't know whether its thought of as a niche amp, one channel, no master volume, no fx loop and very loud. 

I bought mine for that price from guitar guitar.  I emailed Dave Friedman asking if I could use an attenuator without  voiding the warranty and he replied straight away saying yep, no problem.

I've read the new BE50 Deluxe's clean channel is based on this. 
It's an amazing amp for pedals, makes anything sound good but even without it's a gorgeous sounding little thing.

i would think their demographic is more Rock players and the people that buy clean amps buy mostly Fender, Two Rock etc.
