IIRC they were a sort of Tom Sholtz 'Rockman' in a box weren't they? Instant heavily processed 80s guitar sound, in a package about the size of a ghetto blaster? I'd probably really like one given my penchant for chorus pedals....

The one I've been trying out hisses like a nest of angry rattlers too. Interesting the THR10C was mentioned, but does that have the same grunt as the 250ML? I thought it was a much lower output?

yep, you're not wrong on the output. i wouldn't gig a GK though anyway. Heard one not long ago live and even through a cab it was as thin as thin can be, especially up against an old Marshall the other fella had

I believe Steve Harris uses some type of finger lube for his bass playing, quite possibly similar/same in a different package.
