Withdrawn: 1969 Fender Stratocaster Refin
What's Hot
This is one hell of a strat. All original parts and wood, 4 bolt neck, refinished body and headstock face (replacement decal). The refin procedure took place in the 70’s apparently due to the original owner wanting to ‘freshen it up’. Original oly white can be found in the body’s cavities so that was the original colour. Has been seen and verbally authenticated by 3 trusted vintage dealers, happy for you to take it apart and scrutinise!
It plays superbly, frets are fine and bends are easy. The pickguard is the pearloid backed one with all 3 pickups dated 69. Original loom and 3-way switch. The fretboard is so dark it looks brazilian but not sure if that’s possible for this era so must be very dark indian rosewood.
Truly a great player (rivals my old 62!) and not bad in the looks department either! The neck profile on these 69/70 strats is extremely comfortable, nice and chunky. The asking price includes a 70’s fender hard case and strap.
I’m in Ascot, Berks if you want to try it out. £4.5k which is 50% off an original finish example!
