EMG heeeelllllpppp!

Ok, just bought an EMG 81/85 set off this very forum. It can with the full solder less wiring kit inc vol, tone and jacket socket. I've hooked it up as per the instructions, checked it and doubled checked it but all I'm getting is the faintest signal. I've tried swapping wires (I had some spares), new battery, even bypassing the wiring buss with the pickups direct to the volume but nothing changes.

Here's how it's wired:
Pickups to wiring hub/buss
Wiring hub out to volume
Volume out to tone
Tone out to jack socket

The only addition the the EMG supplied parts is a 3 way lever selector (mega switch T I think) and that's word to the hub as per instructions.

Anyone got any experience of this issue or any tips?

The connector clip was on one of the pickups the wrong way round - d'oh!

FWIW, I usually clip the wires on modern EMG's and wire them up without solderless stuff.

The solderless stuff is fine in principle but I've never really liked EMG's implementation of it.

It's just as much work to do, is less neat, and less reliable. The only possible reason for using it is if you can't solder.
