Probably obvious extension cab question...

I have a Fender Princeton sat at home, along with an 8 ohm 1×12 extension cab.

Is it ok to use this along with the internal speaker for a greater spread of sound? I'm not sure if this will create a load of 4 or 16 ohms in total? The amp says use an 8 ohm load minimum?

Help!!

Another 8-ohm cab will create a 4-ohm load, but contrary to what it says on the amp, this is completely safe. Fender designed the amps to handle a mismatch, or there would be no extension jack!

Thanks @ICBM. I knew someone (probably you!) would know the answer!
