I have been having a 'mare with Imgur this morning. **Edit - Pics below**

Very very impressed. I would say it's a little bit lighter than my R7 (which is 8lb 8oz). Resonant and lively to play. It's not a very figured top (which mine was a "figured" washed cherry. However, it is kinda what I was hoping for as I much prefer plain tops that have a few interesting bits!)

I'll do a video later on today maybe...

Mine just arrived - no issues I can find.  Wasn't able to have a play as I'd only popped home for lunch and now back at work Soooooooon!

In the grand scheme of things it doesn’t matter, but it would have been nice if they included a strap and truss rod tool in the case.

(the other new Gibson I bought a few weeks ago were supplied with them)

I have surprised myself by removing the scratchplate and then putting it back on again as I think it actually does look better with it!  

Or at least it annoys me much less than having two screw holes.

and mine also says R8 in the control cavity and the checklist is dated 31st January 2017

Interesting - I thought Gibson had stopped supplying truss rod tools years ago...

Really? I think yours is one of the nicest I've seen. I'm not a lover of cherry finish usually but that one has just the right amount of blush. Beautiful looking guitar.
