WTB A guitar from 1988!

So I’m fast approaching the big 30 and I would quite like a guitar from my birth year. 

Dont mind battle scars. Hell im almost 30 and I have plenty so can’t expect a guitar to be pristine. 

Im a humbucker guy at heart and I prefer single cuts or odd shapes. LP’s/Firebirds/Explorers/Vs

Dont have a massive budget. Say £600. 

Ideally I would quite like a Gibson Studio. Might be a big ask for an explorer. 

Show me what you got.

Be interested to see what you get. As a non-fan of "pointy" or metal type guitars that were abundant in the 80s I struggle with the concept of a birth year guitar. 1985 for me...

Im not really a point fan either but I wouldnt mind a Mockingbird or a Bich! That would be a cool birth year guitar!

Lol no worries. I did not expect you to be interested it was just because the guitar is from 1988 I mentioned it. Good luck with the hunt.

I sometimes go through this too.. looking for an '85 birth year.. for a stratocaster type your looking for a MIJ.. it's also when fernandes were making some great stuff strat copies..

Opening it up to Fenders/Squiers/ BC Rich etc. Check those serial numbers!!!

Caffeine_Vampire 's E815597 Black HM strat is and 1988 Jap model it looks like its seen a fair few gig though,great guitars (i own 2 of them)
