Love this song - always makes me think of the TV series Paras - anyone remember that? Was about ex-Paras struggling to cope with the outside world.

One of my favourite things about it - it's instantly Les Paul recognisable, but not in the Gary Moore/Slash mould which the guitar is often associated with

Wasn’t there a double meaning to the song? As well as a clear messages about the futility of war, wasn’t it a reference to the relationship between Mark and David?  Or did I dream that?

I remember it from years ago but it was called Civvies not Paras.
