1989 Fender Strat Plus Deluxe in white that's aged to a lovely 'vintage white' / cream / yellow. £850, Trades/PX for a nice SG
Loaded with 3 original Fender Lace Sensor pickups (Silver - Silver - Blue) and with the TBX tone circuit this thing will take you from Clapton to Corgan without breaking a sweat.
Other features include roller nut and Sperzal locking tuners, and the (in)famous fender "Trem-Setter" system (which I have currently swapped out for a more traditional trem spring setup - but of course kept the original! - see pictures).
This specimen is in pretty decent condition for a 29-year-old, there are one or two knocks I have tried to capture in the pictures and the print on the pickups has begun to wear off from contact with picks and sweat etc over the years. The only real wear of note is a small chip near the input jack (pictured).
I reckon these are probably the best Strats you can get your hands on for a reasonable price considering build quality, tone and versatility. Scott Grove loves 'em... for whatever that's worth
I'm based between Salford and Manchester and refer cash on collection but happy to meet a reasonable distance. I am open to offers and PX either way; looking at SGs (Preferably Small guard... and not huge fan of bright red), mayyybe mid/high gain heads.

If you were closer I might have to pop round and have a try...

My trading feedback - I'm a good egg
Shame you're not closer bud, it's a cracking player.
A 1989 Deluxe would have been three Gold Sensors. The Plus Deluxe was Red-Silver-Blue (bridge-to-neck).
Not sure if links are allowed but you can read a little more on the history here if you're into it http://xhefriguitars.com/page3.html
Are you interested in a sale or trade, Funkfingers? Or just chipping in?
I'd say it's very comparable to most other Strats I've had. It's been plenty light and comfortable for 2-3 hour rehearsals, but it's not like a featherweight toy, either.
