Any Gretsch experts? 1993 model advice sought

What's Hot
I’ve been offered a 1993 G6118 (110th anniversary) which looks immaculate. The serial suggests 1993 (begins with 1993) but the O.K. card says 1999. The warranty card and certificate of warranty match the serial printed inside (none on rear of headstock).

Any advice welcome!

  • Throw the O.K card in the bin and live your life free from worry.

  • Well their 110 anniversary was 93 not 99.

At at that time they wouldn’t have had stamped serial numbers on the rear of the headstock. So label inside is correct.

I wouldn't worry about the ok card, could be one someone has got after for some reason.

    Whats the price like

    Just don’t over pay tho.

Saw two modern anniversaries at a recent show that were over priced.

  • Thanks, @musicman100 - he's put its value around £1,500.

Is that cash your trade value?

    And whats the condition?

  • @musicman100 - it appears near-mint.  All in, if that's a close value (he's adding cash), it's not a million miles off what I'd like.

You can pick up Annie’s for £1300 all day long. Post 2004 models are more desirable, as more historically accurate.  I’d pay less than that for a late 90’s model.

    Get this instead. http://www.thefretboard.co.uk/discussion/144459/gretsch-g6118t-liv-players-edition-anniversary

Awesome Annie. Great price for a nearly new Gretsch

There is a significant difference between asking prices and selling prices.
