This Lazy J J20 is a lightweight bundle of pure tone, with an attenuator, reverb module, trem module, and a Fane alnico A60 speaker (£180+ upgrade).  The amp is powered by 6L6s and can get very loud; it comes complete with the Lazy J reverb/trem footswitch and is in excellent condition; no rips, tears, or other disfiguring.  The attenuator gives the amp real versatility, and the reverb and trem are absolutely top drawer; I have compared these with my silverface Fenders, and they stack up beautifully.

Jesse Hoff has taken the basic 5E3 tweed Deluxe platform, and refined this into a fire breathing 20 watt combo with a beautifully built pine cabinet and impeccable tweed covering.  Rarely available, and facing a mega long waiting list if you buy new, here is the Lazy J you've been promising yourself.

Cash on collection in central London preferred, but I'll drive 50 miles in any direction to meet up (without any silly petrol money required) - and will post in the UK for £40 fully insured, £60 fully insured in the EU.

Apologies!  Price added (and yes, I think this forum is very/too well acquainted with these fab amps.  Purchased from @dangriffiths; RedPlate BlackLine head with reverb arriving, so something has to give...

“The amp is powered by 6L6s..”

     6L6s ?! Not 6v6s?

Yep: 6V6s.  The information on Jesse's website says: 'GZ34 rectifier and a pair of 6L6s in the power amp, and...two 12AX7s'

I see, I thought it was only 6V6. Thanks for the info. So is this the 6L6 or 6V6 loaded version then? Apologies for misunderstanding!

What would be the difference anyway between a 6L6 versus 6V6 ?

Less power available in a 6V6. A Fender Twin reverb with 4 6L6GC can put out 100-135W depending on plate voltage. A Fender Deluxe Reverb with 2 6V6 can put out 20-22W
Thanks, but I take it from what you are saying there's no difference in sound, only volume.
    Cheers

No axe to grind here, but I believe that previously Jesse has had issues with people putting gut shots of his amps on here

I guess it messes with his Mojo or something? :-)
    The answer was never 42 - it's 1/137 (..ish)

I would imagine that when Jesse sells an amp, that the owner can show whatever ever they want.

Albeit, he might not like it but I don't think he has any control over it.

Can anyone identify those output tubes in the pics? 6L6s or 6V6s?
