    Now I think about it I did sell my old Explorer (one of the first-run Gothic ones) because I couldn't swap between that and my SG (a faded Special with the gargantuan neck). The Explorer was Ibanez-Wizardly thin in comparison. But ergonomically I had no trouble otherwise. I'd love a fat-necked Explorer :)

    I don't struggle switching per-se, but I haven't found many guitars that I like to play as much as my LPC.

    I love the look of the Explorer, but as I already look like a twat with my Flying V, and the Explorer is even more outlandish, I don't think it would suit an old git.

  • The scale length is not an issue for me, more down to controls and switching.
    Apart from the Musicman Silhouette, love the guitar sitting down, but it seems to be two frets out of line when I am standing.
